How Our students Developed the Automated hand Wash? – Find Out

My name is Ebunam Nnamdi, I was among the group of six students who designed and produced an Automated Hand-Washing Machine.

I worked in a group that included Ngene Spencer, Okoruwa Oselumese George, Egbele Emmanuella, Oreva Akpoyibo and Zipporah Maduakolam. It was interesting and fun working with them. The project involved rigorous robotics and programming knowledge and inputs. Thank God for our tutors who guided and supported us through the task.  The major component of this device is PIRM (Passive Infrared Motion) sensor which detects one’s hand in close proximity. We used 3-D design and printer to fabricate a plastic component used in running some cable connections. We did the coding with M-block app. This was how the 3-IN-1 AUTOMATED HAND-WASHING MACHINE was produced.

I specially thank our Administrator, Rev. Fr. John Njorteah for making this project possible. The beautiful thing about my participation is that I have gained a good foundation in my future endeavour as my dream is to become one of the greatest robotics engineers.
