ECCLESIAE THOUGHT (WEEK 11) “KINDNESS”

“Do what you can to show you care about other people, and you will make our world a better place.”

_ Rosalynn Carter

KINDNESS

Have you ever wanted to do something nice for someone? Why not just do it? Make an effort to be nice to people in small and big ways. Maybe you could walk around your neighbourhood and pick up trash. Perhaps you could let your younger brother or sister hang out with you when you’re around your friends. Be nice to others. Smile and show people that you care about them even though you don’t know them.

Then just step back and watch. It’s a riot! Unexpected kindness catches people off guard. If you’re being paid to be nice, that’s only half fun. But when you’re nice for fee, that’s major fun! Whether you’re working behind the fast-food counter, bagging groceries in a super-market, waiting on customers in a retail store, or receiving any of these services, throw in an act of kindness. Give an encouraging word. Give a compliment. Ask people how they are feeling.

Go the extra mile, and you’ll go a long way.
