When it was obvious that Covid-19 pandemic would disrupt our normal activities, I was also scared that it would threaten our normal academic flow but my fear disappeared when we got Third Term Resumption notification from the school. I was glad that the management ensured that we kept schooling under the lockdown. Although it came with its fears, I was fearful about how I was going to cope with my studies without supervision by any authority. Fortunately, I gained self-confidence and discipline that supported this independent learning.
It was an amazing experience to me. Aside from having classes at home, I had enough time for myself and I was able to explore and discover more about myself. The lockdown opened my eyes to different methods of studying. I won’t forget to mention the advantage of the technology used in achieving this, the fact that I could have classes online and be connected to the wider world was fascinating.
I LOVED THE EXPERIENCE; IT MADE ME REALIZE THAT THERE IS HOPE FOR AFRICA.
