ECCLESIAL THOUGHT (THIRD TERM WEEK SIX) – ATTITUDE

“Start by doing what’s necessary, then what’s possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.”

  • St Francis of Assisi

ATTITUDE

Champions usually don’t win their titles by accident. They plan for them. They always begin the competition with us that one goal in mind: winning. Even if the statistics are against them, they still believe they can overcome.

Champions win big because they dream big. In one sense, winning begins in your mind. If you can see yourself crossing the goal, you have a great incentive for running the race. Your attitude makes all the difference.

Take that attitude into the other areas of your life as well. When you think of your future, think big. Why settle for being a parking lot attendant at the medical clinic if you have the potential for being one of the physicians? Never settle for second best. Aim to study, work, or play at your highest level of achievement.

Here’s a good principle: attitude plus effort equals accomplishment. If you can see it in your mind, you’re on the way to making it a reality. If you want some big realities, then you’d better do some big dreaming.

You’ve gotta believe it in order to see it!
