ECCLESIAL THOUGHT (SECOND TERM WEEK TWELVE) – WORRY

“God will never lead you when His grace cannot keep you.”

  • B. Hicks

WORRY

Midnight is an interesting time of the day. At twelve o’clock, today’s problems become yesterday’s problems. “Live one day at a time” is perhaps the best advice you’ll ever hear. And as long as you’re going to live one day at a time, you might as well choose today. You can’t do much about yesterday, and you certainly can’t do anything about tomorrow until it gets here. Worrying about yesterday is a waste of time. It’s better to focus on meeting the challenges of today.

Worrying about tomorrow drains life’s energy. Borrowing tomorrow’s trouble saps your strength. In some cases, it has even caused physical or mental illness.

Too much worry shows a lack of faith in God. Remember, God is eternal. He existed before time and will exist after time on earth is done. God knows as much about your today. You can trust Him for the unknown, because it’s well known to Him.

Seize the day! Tomorrow’s troubles may turn into tomorrow’s triumphs.
